Since the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) started, in our little ways we have all become home-cooks. Most of us have finally learned how to cook local classic snacks such as turon, puto and the like. K-drama fans are however more concerned about discovering their favorite Korean food recipes. But apart from the normal experience of K-BBQ grilling, Korean dishes look super complicated to do, particularly if you are a beginner.

Fortunately, TikTok is more than just an application where you can dance your heart away!

Here are a few quick recipes that we found on TikTok to help you cook your favorite Korean dish step by step!

1. Banana Milk

Let’s get off to something quick! Banana milk is a favorite crowd and a must-have when you visit a Korean grocery store, so if you don’t have a nearby K-mart, why don’t you have it on your own?

2. Kimchi

We should all know how to make the Korean staple before anything else! It’s shockingly simple and you can easily source locally for the ingredients!

3. Kimchi Fried Rice

Now that we have our kimchi we can make good use of it. Aside from being a side dish, by adding it to fried rice, kimchi can be a star ingredient too. To elevate this super simple dish add some cheese.

5. Steamed Egg

Yeah, we can all order our online samgyupsal needs, but I’m sure you ‘re also craving the steamed egg side dish that restaurants at K-BBQ sell.

6. Chapchae

All remembers the first time they had taken a bite from this delicious Korean glass noodle dish. Is leisure tough? Completely not!

7. Jjapaguri (a.k.a. Ramdon)

I’m pretty sure you’ve heard of Ramdon for the Oscar-winning Parasite movie and we’re betting our bottom dollar you don’t have to be an expert home chef to nail the dish! But don’t say we haven’t warned you. Jjapaguri eats extremely addictive.
