Former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. confirmed that he had undergone testing for Covid-19 after arriving home sick from his trip to Spain.

There were circulating reports online on Wednesday night that he was infected with pneumonia and was intubated in a hospital and that their family plans to bring him to Singapore for treatment.
The former senator denied the rumor through a statement, “I am deeply touched and overwhelmed by your concern over my condition. Don’t worry, I am doing ok and contrary to popular belief, I am home on self-quarantine,” Marcos said.
As of now, Marcos is still awaiting for his result.

The entire household took the test for the viral disease as they have been in close contact with the former senator when he arrived from his trip.
Marco’s wife Atty. Liza Araneta Marcos then indicated on a statement that fortunately they all tested negative.
It took them only one day to get the result which is contrary to the average processing that usually takes days or even weeks.

The politicians’s sister, Senator Imee Marcos also said that she and her mother, former first lady Imelda Marcos, are fine and are both staying at home.

As of now, four lawmakers have announced that they tested positive on COVID-19.
They are Senators Miguel Zubiri, Koko Pimentel, Sonny Angara and Congressman Eric Yap.
