With its magnificent tower looking through the clouds and its wave-shaped nature of its windows, SM Seaside truly mesmerizes the hearts of the Cebuano people. Established back in 2015, the mall now holds the record as the third largest mall in the Philippines and the ninth largest mall in the world. Pedro Calungsod, who was formally canonized by Pope Benedict XVI on 21 October 2012, was adored by many Filipino Catholics for his nobility and devotion to his religion. To honor him, the church that was built back in 2012 was named after the saint near SM Seaside. Now, many churchgoers are drawn to the SRP.

803 people will sit comfortably in the church. It has a baptistery, an adoration chapel, a multipurpose space for the various events and meetings of the parishioners, as well as a children’s room where children can sit while the mass is going on.

This magnificent church is the gift of SM to the Filipinos in honor of our first Cebuano saint, San Pedro Calungsod.

Among the iconic features of CCLEX, which is supposed to be among the landmarks of Cebu when it was completed in 2021, is the lighted cross on all four sides of the two 145-metre-high main pylons.
