Just a 9-minute train ride from Sapporo Station and a 6-minute walk from Nishi 28-Chome Station, Sushi Miyagawa is a Michelin three-star, ultra-popular restaurant. With just two seatings per day, including private rooms, it’s one of the hardest restaurants to book in all of Hokkaido.

The omakase course is ¥30,000 per person, and with drinks, it came to a total of ¥60,005 for two.
The first appetizer was bamboo shoots and rapeseed blossoms — the crisp texture of the bamboo shoots combined with their earthy aroma, along with the bitterness and distinct fragrance of the rapeseed blossoms, made it the perfect seasonal start to the course.
The second dish was shabu-shabu-style crab simmered in dashi. The wonderfully delicate crab was tender, sweet, and melted beautifully in the mouth, elevated by the gentle umami of the broth.
