Cebuanos, there’s something to look forward to on April 8, 2020 (Wednesday) at 10:30 PM!

We’ll witness the most beautiful Super Pink Moon in April, which is also expected to be the biggest and brightest full moon of this year.

This will brighten up the “dark times” amid crisis!

According to EarthSky, a supermoon happens when the elliptical orbit of the moon brings it to the closest it can be on Earth when the moon is full — and this year the Super Pink Moon is set to come closest to Earth, meaning it will also be the biggest.

After sunset, the Super Pink Moon will already become visible and reach peak illumination at 10:35 PM (PST). But once the super moon rises above the horizon it will be really bright and white and for more than a minute, it will be almost impossible to look at.

What you will see in moonset will be noticeably 15 percent brighter than a typical full moon, more of a golden color. Other names for this moon according to NASA include the Sprouting Grass Moon, the Egg Moon, and the Fish Moon among coastal tribes.

Even though it won’t look totally pink, we guess looking up at the night skies to admire the bright moon can give all of us a few minutes of relief from worrying about the time we’re all going through.

Be sure to set your alarms at 10:35 pm on April 8, 2020 (Wednesday) because the Pink Super Moon will surely lighten your spirit and give some hope that things will get back to usual very soon.
