In 2011, founders Meyan and Johann Young were driving to the city of Cebu’s only milk tea shop on a regular, uneventful day. The traffic was terrible, and there were a lot of conversations going on. Meyan, the milk tea addict, had a light bulb moment while stuck in traffic for over 30 minutes. She expressed herself idealistically “What if we opened our own bubble tea shop in our neighborhood? We wouldn’t have to travel as far, and our establishment would stock all of our favorite drinks from around the world “.. And Johann, her ever-faithful husband, encouraged her to go for it!
